My dad was craving Thai food, so we decided to celebrate Father's Day at Soi 55 Thai Kitchen & Bars located at Solaris Mont Kiara. It's a pork free restaurant and various of Thai dishes you could imagine can found on the menu. 
爸爸突然很想吃泰国菜,所以我们决定去Soi 55 Thai Kitchen & Bars 替爸爸庆祝父亲节。这件餐厅位于Solaris Mont Kiara。菜单里有许多泰国道地的美食让人看了垂涎三尺。除此之外,它们是一间标签为无猪肉的餐厅。
Fried Chicken Wrapped in Pandan Leave- 6 Pcs (RM20) 班兰叶鸡
Pandan leave chicken is a must-order dish for Thai restaurant. Wrap each piece of marinaded chicken with pandan leaf and deep fried it. I personally thinks it tastes good. Chicken is moist and tender and packed with pandan aroma. Not very expensive for the portion size as compared with other.
泰国必点的小吃之一。菜如其名就是用班兰叶把腌制好的鸡块包上,然后油炸,让班兰叶的香渗透入鸡肉里。我个人认为鸡肉腌制到很入味和保留了鸡肉的口感。 当你咬一口是,你还可以感觉班兰也的香味。 不错吃!分量刚刚好价钱也公道。 
Otak-Otak (RM25) 鲤鱼包
Otak-otak served in coconut shell and it's one of  their recommended appetizer. Otak-otak was cooked with squid, prawn and you can even taste coconut flesh in each bite. If you u're a coconut milk lover you will definitely love this dish but I'm not !
这道菜是他们的推荐之一。 鲤鱼包,花枝和虾一起炒然后装在椰壳了。每口你还能尝到椰肉的鲜甜, 如果你是椰奶的粉丝你会很喜欢这到菜! 
 Glass Noodles Spicy Salad (RM20) 泰式海鲜冬粉沙拉
This glass noodles spicy salad can either be an appetizer or a main dish. It tastes awesome! Spicy, light and refreshing. The main ingredient: glass noodles, chicken mince, prawn, squid, black fungus, tomatoes, onion, coriander whereas chopped chili, fish sauce and a squeeze of lime will be the dressing. Can't stop eating! This is how good this dish is! 
酸酸辣辣很开胃的一道菜。这到菜的材料有冬粉,鸡肉碎,虾,花枝,黑木耳,薄荷叶, 葱头,番茄,指天椒和香菜。鱼露和青柠汁就是他们的凉拌酱汁。吃了还想再吃的一道菜。 

Steamed Squid with Garlic and Lime (RM30) 泰式蒸花枝
Big portion that can share for 4 people I guess (personally). A great combination of flavors that bring out the flavor of fresh squid. Personally, I feel the soup is nice enough not to spicy and pungent. If you prefer a spicier soup let the stuff know. 
这一道菜适合4个人的分量(对我来说)。 颜色和味道的配搭带出了花枝的鲜甜。 我个人认为,汤的味道刚刚好不会很辣和太酸非常的暖胃。 如果,你是一个喜欢偏辣口味的人, 点单时可以告诉他们。

Thai Milk Tea (RM6.90)& Pandan Water (RM1.90) 泰国奶茶和班兰水
During weekday, Soi 55 serves lunch combo and dinner deal. For RM11++, you get a single portion noodle or rice with a drink. As for dinner deal, it’s RM55 nett for 3 dishes (appetizer, main dish and vegetable) and the serving size is enough to be shared among 3 to 4 pax. If you present your student ID, you can get 5% off your bill.
平日他们还有午餐和晚餐配套。午餐套餐只需 RM11++ 所,有的套餐还包括一杯水。平日6pm-11pm 他们也推出了晚餐配套给3-4个人份。 套餐里包括一道开胃菜,主食,青菜和4碗白饭只需RM55. 不仅如此, 如果你是学生还有5%折扣!

Thai is one of my favorite cuisines so I decided to try out KomPassion for their awesome non-halal fusion Thai food, with plenty of pork dishes in the menu.

KomPassion located at Damansara Kim, In here, the designers kept everything simple. They used limited colors and textures but they everything in balance with creativity such as taps that has the lamps hanging on it. 

Service is friendly and attentive here. The staff will present you with a table menu with detailed description of the food items. You can see some wonderful ideas such as Vietnamese pork satay spring roll and grilled shabu shabu salad here. 

One of their starter is Vietnamese Spring Roll with Smoked Duck (RM17.90) . The roll is made from carrots, sengkuang, cucumber, mint leaves. lettuce and smoked duck wrapped together with a rice paper wrap. The wrap is surrounded with chopped tomatoes, chopped roasted almond pieces and fried shallots with tangy sauce. The highlight of dish is the smoked duck which was expertly cooked, juicy, smoky and utterly crave able. 

Of course, more mainstream dishes like Tom Yum Seafood (RM38/RM50) are also obtainable at KomPassion. At here, you can choose your spicness (1-3) and we opted for Level 2 spiciness. Soup was a nice blend of sweet and sour and flavoured with tiger prawn, mushroom, galangal, kaffir lime juice, squid and chili flakes. 

We also ordered one of their specials Double Cooked Pork Belly with Soft Shell Crab (RM65) and it's also a the most expensive dish on the menu. Although it's expensive but also our favorite and memorable dish to order here. In this dish, the served melt in your mouth and super-succulent pork belly with crunchy crackling. The thick & caramelized onion green curry sauce topping is definitely a great match with the pork. Of course not to forget the crispy, juicy and non-greasy soft shell crab with crunchy vegetable and ground peanuts. Overall, I found the combination pretty interesting and it's highly recommended.  

Paku with garlic (RM28) was the vegetable dish of the day. 



As for dessert, we ordered the refreshing thai desserts Ice-cream with Jackfruit and Red Ruby (RM10) and the not too sweet Coconut Cheesecake with Cendol and Attap Palm Seed drizzled with Gula Melaka (rm10). Conclusion KomPassion definitely didn't disappoint, and worth the price for the good food and great ambiance. 

P/S: If you're planning to dine with a large group, it is advisable to make reservations as the restaurant can get pretty packed at night.
